Pueblo, CO — September 26, 2024 — Snooze Mattress Company, a leader in the sleep and franchise industry, is thrilled to announce its first international expansion, with Dublin, Ireland, marking the company’s debut global location. Founded in 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado, Snooze has quickly grown across the United States and is now set to bring its innovative approach to sleep solutions to a new market, beginning in Ireland and expanding throughout the United Kingdom.
“We’ve always been on a mission to change the lives of 20 million people in the United States and 50 million globally,” Matt Smith, CEO of Snooze Mattress Company, said. “This expansion to Ireland is a major step in realizing that vision, and we’re officially global. We’ve been nurturing this for almost 12 months, and now it’s official—we’re starting in Dublin and will expand throughout the UK, from Cork to London.”
Snooze will partner with franchisees John Griffin and Kenneth Sexton, two passionate entrepreneurs from Cork Ireland who are eager to introduce the Snooze experience to their country. Griffin shared his enthusiasm for the partnership.
“When I was introduced to Snooze, I didn’t just see a product, I saw a guy in pajamas selling a lifestyle. It was different,” Griffin said. “Once Matt explained what they were doing, I could see it was going to change the way people sleep, improve their health, and even benefit their partners. There's nothing like this in Ireland, and I believe we can make a big impact.”
Sexton, echoed the excitement, sharing how his initial doubts turned into excitement after learning more about Snooze.
“When John first proposed the idea of Snooze in Ireland, I thought he had gone mad,” Sexton said. “But after researching the company and stalking their Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, I realized they were doing something amazing in the U.S. Then I had the chance to meet Matt, experience the Snooze stores in person, and see their personalized sleep solutions and innovative sleep technology firsthand. It reassured me this was the right fit for John and me.”
Sexton added, “We’re going to help so many people achieve the best sleep they’ve ever had, with enhanced customer experiences, knowledgeable sleep experts, and state-of-the-art technology. I believe we can make a huge difference, whether it’s for young people, the elderly, the sick, or the healthy. I hope we can change the way people in Ireland think about their sleep and how essential it is to their lives.”
Both franchisees are confident that Snooze will make a significant impact on the Irish market, with plans to expand into more cities. Sexton is particularly eager for the first store to open in Cork.
“I’m excited to show the people of Cork what they’ve been missing in their lives and shake up the Irish market with something truly unique. Plus, I can’t wait to wear pajamas at work! If you don’t Snooze, you lose!”
Snooze’s first international location is just the beginning. Smith revealed that the company is also eyeing further global expansion into countries like Canada, Mexico, and Dubai. “This is the start of something beautiful,” Smith added.
